I just landed back in LA from an amazing gig in Vancouver British Columbia. I love spinning for Canadians and apart from how hot the guys are…the ladies definitely know how to light up a dance floor! The crowd is always are super fun and uninhibited. The event was private and put on for the club and music industry of Vancouver. Being a some what corporate event, I was concerned that they would want a more main stream sound for the evening. I began mixing and played an electric cocktail of electronic music that everyone would enjoy. It was a pleasure to quickly realize that they liked the darker, sexier, groovier side of dutch house, fidgit, techno, tech house and electro. All of which I love! This was my first time spinning in Vancouver since switching to Traktor so I was extra psyched about playing . Below is a video and some pictures from the night. I feel so inspired by the gig that today I’m going to start on a new DJ mix strictly using Traktor. It’s going to be appropriately called, 4AM. Xx

So Sunday night up and coming LA fashion designer Jen Awad asked me to strike a pose in her life style video. It was shot at The Over Throw‘s newest soiree, Lil Death.

I wore one of Jen’s more colorful creations, a blood red hooded low cut dress with roses outlining the collar. I felt as if the Virgin Mary and Little Red Riding Hood went dancing at a ghetto goth electronic party… this is the dress they would rock.

The ladies she choose to be in the video are all talented, creative, edgy and amazing working girls who live here in tinsel town. Among the beauties included rap duo Vicious Bunny, DJ Tamara Sky and Stylenoir columnist Mynxii White. The video was shot by Machete Bang Bang and from what I’ve seen saw so far the video is beyond amazing. Xx
