Battling back and fourth, mixing, cutting and on the mic....DJs Are Not Rockstars spin like they are.

In September 2006 Alexander Technique and DJ Cat crossed paths while spinning in New York City at Arthur Bakers legendary party, “Return to NY”. Alexander, the mastermind behind the unique and innovative live DJ project, “DJs Are Not Rockstars”, and Cat, the New York City "It Girl", often seen behind the decks at Marc Jacobs fashion events, celebrity private parties and Vogue Magazine soirees, hit it off instantly.

Since then they have been inseparable; DJing, remixing, and producing music to cultivate a fresh new sound. Hosting and performing together at their weekly party called "DJs Are Not Rockstars", in New York cities premier dance den, Mr. Blacks; this duo has now taken their act to the world renowned dance club Cielo, as well as touring both nationally and internationally.

To witness their live sets is truly an experience. Watch them on four turntables; beat matching, scratching, cutting and ripping through the music, on stage and on the mic. Watch as they lead crowds through the ultimate dance experience.
